Dog Walking Information
For our dog walking service we will need to come and visit your dog before agreeing to take him/her on. This is so we can match them in groups correctly to ensure that they get the most of our dog walking service. This is what we call an induction, at this time we will take necessary details down about your dog and get to meet them and perform a simple temperament test, you will get to meet us too and ask us any questions that you have. We will gather up as much information as we can during the induction so it would be good to have the details to hand before we arrive. Some dogs may not be able to walk in groups; we do provide a 30 min solo/lead walk in these cases. Your dog will get a 30 minute walk with us in these cases at a local park or along the streets on a lead. This can be good for a young puppy or an older dog that cannot cope with a whole hour dog walking.
All Dogs are walked at safe places check out our Dog Walks page for more information. Your dog will be transported in one of our vans taken to a walking destination and walked for at least one hour with group walks. Then they will be towelled down, given water and settled back for the return journey home. You can expect them to be out of the house for around 2 hours or more in total. Sometimes we take dogs out for day trips to Westonbirt or the beach throughout the year, so your dog may be out even longer. We pride ourselves in having a strict dog to handler ratio of 6. We NEVER walk any more than 6 dogs to one person at a time and often this is less. Every dog walked has a report left for them after they are returned, this is great for you to know what your dog gets up to, what time they were picked up and dropped back and where they walked.
Pet Visiting Information
For Our pet visiting service we will need to come and meet you and your pet before you go away, to go through paperwork and find out what your animal needs i.e. if your cat is allowed outside etc. During the induction we will get to meet your pet and find out exactly what you would like us to do as customers routines differ. We can provide little added extras to our visiting service like taking in your bins, opening curtains and turning lights on and off. The pet sitter induction enables you to meet your specific pet sitters, so you know who is entering your property each time. We pride ourselves on giving you the highest level of care with a very personal touch. You will be left a report of each visit, this enables you to return from holiday and read through to see what your pet has been up to whilst you are away. You are able to text through to find out how they are getting on and can have photo updates too.
Boarding and day care Information
We also provide an amazing boarding and day care facility that is open all year round. We only board dogs and day care in these locations. We carry out boarding and day care in Bathampton Bath. We are licensed by Bath and North East Somerset Council and as part of the licence we are inspected every year; Heather was the first home-boarder in bath to be licensed. Prices and more details about any of our services can be found via the prices and services page on this site. So if you need your pets looked after when you are at work, on holiday, weekends away, or just for the day; we can cater for you and your Pet’s needs.
For dog day care services you and your dog will need to attend an induction with us at one of our locations before we can agree to take your dog on. Not every dog is suited to day care and in these cases we may recommend a walk for your dog instead. Once we have met you and your dog and taken all necessary details. You will be able to use our services for day care providing we have room to accommodate on the days/dates requested.
For our dog boarding services you will be asked to bring your dog to meet us for an induction, at this time we will go through a form with you; listing emergency details, your pet’s normal routine, medications, medical history and your dog’s food regime. Vaccine certificates are necessary; you will need to bring them with you at the time of induction and each time they stay. Read more about our boarding houses on the Services page.
